Pastor Robert B. Thieme III, a native Texan, became pastor of Berachah Church in 2004 following his father Colonel Robert B. Thieme Jr., who built a worldwide ministry while serving as pastor for 53 years. Prior to becoming a pastor, R. B. Thieme III had a distinguished career in the U. S. Army serving as an Infantry officer, Airborne Ranger, and a tactical and strategical intelligence officer. He left the army as a major and enrolled in Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1987 with Masters degrees of Divinity and Theology. Upon completion of seminary in 1988, he joined R. B. Thieme Jr., Bible Ministries as the editor-in-chief. He continues to serve as president of the Ministries as well as pastor of Berachah Church.

Robert B. Thieme, Jr. (1918–2009), pastor of Berachah Church from 1950–2003, remains a significant voice of Christianity throughout the world. His diligent, expository teaching is based on the original languages of Scripture in light of the historical context in which the Bible was written. His innovative systems of vocabulary, illustrations, and biblical categories clearly communicate the infallible truths of God’s Word. Pastor Thieme recorded more than eleven thousand hours of sermons and published more than one hundred books.
Pastor Thieme graduated from the University of Arizona (Phi Beta Kappa) and Dallas Theological Seminary (summa cum laude). His seminary studies were interrupted by World War II military service during which he rose to the rank of lieutenant colonel as a staff officer in the United States Army Air Corps. After completion of his graduate work in 1950, he became pastor of Berachah Church in Houston, Texas. His extensive training in Greek, Hebrew, theology, history, and textual criticism provided the foundation for his demanding professional life of studying and teaching the Word of God. R. B. Thieme, Jr., retired from the pulpit of Berachah Church after fifty-three years of faithful service.
Pastor Thieme did not take lightly the Lord’s command, “Feed my sheep.” His sermons, recorded throughout his ministry, are available in both audio and video format. His publications address various subjects including salvation, spirituality, the Christian way of life, the essence of God, biblical history, Satan and the angelic conflict, and prophecy. Many of his books have been translated into foreign languages including Spanish, Portuguese, German, Hungarian, Romanian, Korean, Chinese, Thai, and Russian.
